I’m Mayank Agarwal, a Principal Architect at Zepto, based in Bangalore, India. Over 13+ years I’ve built 0-to-1 ML platforms, search infrastructure, and supply-chain systems at scale.

At Zepto I scaled the platform 10x while reducing cloud costs by 47%. I architected a comprehensive search and discovery platform — data pipelines powering ML layers (autosuggestion, intent prediction, semantic retrieval, and MoE ranking) processing millions of daily queries — and built the end-to-end supply-chain technology stack: dark-store management, inventory planning and control (35% cost reduction), and last-mile logistics optimization. I also designed a production agentic AI platform serving business-critical applications.

My work spans ML infrastructure, distributed systems, search architecture, supply-chain operations, real-time data pipelines, and DevOps — with measurable impact on engagement, GMV, operational efficiency, and unit economics.
